Getting started
Install the app, sign in, and optionally turn on AI organization.

Install
Download Owlu for Mac from owlu.site and drag it into your Applications folder. You need macOS 13 or later. The first time you open the app, a short setup walkthrough begins.

First launch
1) Sign in — Use Google or Microsoft. Owlu does not store your email password.
2) Device check — The app briefly verifies your device and account. On a brand-new device you continue to the next steps; if you’ve used Owlu on this Mac before, some steps may be skipped.
3) More accounts (new device only) — Add extra mailboxes now or skip and add them later in Settings.
4) Policies — Read the privacy information, choose whether to allow usage analytics (telemetry), then continue.
5) Bringing in mail — Owlu loads enough information for the list to appear quickly, then fills in message bodies in the background. When ready, you land in your main inbox.

AI inbox organization
After the first sync, you may see “Set up AI Persona” at the top. That lets Owlu learn from your past messages to suggest topic-based categories.
Read the explanation and continue to start analysis. Progress steps (for example processing content and finding related messages) may appear in order.
When it finishes, choose “Return to main” to use an inbox with up to six categories. You can skip this entirely and still use Owlu.
